The public loop

Proposal → count → decision

The numbered page is the permanent record, not a disposable form.

  1. 1

    Publish the proposal

Show the choices, tradeoffs, AI or source disclosures, and decision boundary before voting.

  2. 2

    Collect minimum counts

No account, comment, demographic, behavioral telemetry, or individual response row. A deliberate adult action submits the temporary tally.

  3. 3

    Close without pressure

No streaks, countdown manipulation, prize, or public running total. The close date is announced plainly.

  4. 4

    Publish what happened

Add raw aggregate totals, limitations, and a decision note—including why MakeJoy departed from the preference order.

Running results stay hidden to reduce response bias. Open polls show “pending” until they close.

Application storage

Totals without profiles.

MakeJoy stores one cumulative database row per poll round. A one-ballot tally necessarily reveals its fixed-choice pattern during the request, but the application immediately adds it to the cumulative row and retains no request or response record.

Stored

  • Fixed poll round ID
  • Ballot and skip totals
  • Named option counts

Not stored

  • Names, accounts, or demographics
  • Comments or child-created content
  • Individual responses, IPs, or user agents

Cloudflare necessarily processes ordinary connection data to deliver and protect the site. MakeJoy application code does not read or store it.
